Thousands of cultures around the world bring diverse meditation techniques. That’s why there are 30 free meditation scripts pdf in this article.
In mindfulness meditation, you focus on your breath and sustain your attention, whereas in somatic meditation, you focus on bodily sensations instead of the mind.
In chakra meditation, you focus on different chakras of your body, starting from your back to your head. However, in body scan meditation, you think about each part of your body from toe to head.
There’s a specific meditation type for the problem you’re facing or the heights you want to achieve in meditation. It’s just that you have to explore for a while to find the right technique that suits you. Let me help you:
For beginners: Start with mindfulness meditation, breathing meditation, or body scan meditation.
For intermediates: You can go with mantra meditation or movement meditation.
For pro meditators: You already know what you want, but try to explore transcendental meditation, chakra meditation, and qigong meditation.
This doesn’t mean that beginners cannot try the meditation technique suggested for pro or intermediate meditators—just you have to make extra efforts to maintain your focus.
The basics are almost the same
Whatever technique you try, the basics of meditation will always be the same.
- Find your place: A quiet place at your home or outdoors where you won’t be disturbed.
- Get comfortable: You can sit or lie down and be comfortable in your posture.
- Use a timer: Try using the timer on your cellphone. For beginners, 5 minutes is more than enough; increase gradually.
- Focus: Different meditation techniques ask you to focus on different things, such as your breath, a candle flame, an object, and so on.
- Never control your thoughts: Your thoughts are just thoughts, whether positive or negative, they have no value. Don’t control them – observe them as they pass.
- Wandering mind: As a beginner, you’ll quickly lose your focus, and your mind will wander. Gently bring your attention back.
- Be consistent: It’s okay to have short sessions, but meditate every day.
